When network hashrate is high, miners burn ALPH internally to reduce energy use, achieving similar security to Bitcoin at roughly one-eighth the energy cost.
What is BlockFlow sharding?: BlockFlow is Alephium's sharding algorithm that divides the blockchain into parallel chains, processing transactions simultaneously across all of them. This allows the network to reach 20,000+ TPS while still presenting users with a simple, single-chain experience.
What is the Ralph programming language?: Ralph is Alephium's native smart contract language, designed specifically for its Alphred VM. Inspired by Rust in syntax, it includes built-in security controls that help developers avoid common vulnerabilities like reentrancy attacks.
