Introduction

How Sentient Works

At the heart of Sentient is the GRID — an open infrastructure layer where AI models, agents, data sources, and tools are contributed as composable units called Artifacts. These Artifacts can be discovered, staked on, and chained together to solve complex tasks.

The primary user interface is Sentient Chat, a universal frontend that routes user queries through coordinated Artifact workflows. The ecosystem also includes Dobby (a community-aligned AI model), a Model Fingerprinting Library, an Open Deep Search Library, and ROMA (a meta-agent framework for structured reasoning).

Contributors build Artifacts; stakers direct token emissions toward the ones they believe in; and the protocol rewards genuine usage through on-chain incentives.

Tokenomics

SENT is the coordination layer for the entire Sentient protocol.
