Parallel Studios had previously raised $50 million led by Paradigm in 2021, followed by a $35 million round in 2024 from notable investors including VanEck, Solana Ventures, Solana co-founders Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal, and others. PROMPT tokens launched and were distributed to PRIME holders and Parallel players as part of an explicit airdrop strategy.

How Prompt Works

Wayfinder introduces two core primitives: Shells and Paths.

• Shells are user-owned AI agents that receive instructions in plain language and execute on-chain actions — from swapping tokens to deploying smart contracts across multiple blockchains.
• Paths are structured routing blueprints that define how agents navigate transactions. Community members can propose new Paths by staking PROMPT, and earn a share of fees whenever their Paths are used.

A slashing mechanism penalizes stakers who propose incorrect or faulty Paths, maintaining quality across the protocol. The platform also integrates with Biconomy's MEE protocol, allowing users to pay gas fees directly with PROMPT on Base.

Tokenomics

PROMPT serves multiple functions: activating Shells, paying network gas fees, staking to validate Paths, and governance participation. The distribution model allocates roughly 40% to users who stake PRIME tokens (a process called 'caching'), with tokens unlocking monthly over a three-year schedule.

Additional allocations go to the Wayfinder Foundation, investors, developers, and ecosystem incentives. Stakers who submit valid Paths earn ongoing fee revenue, giving the token a real-yield mechanic tied to protocol usage.

Ecosystem & Use Cases
