Introduction

PROLOGUE is the pre-launch token issued by Fables, a decentralized exchange on Robinhood Chain. Its name is intentional — it represents the opening chapter of a larger protocol story, not the finished product.

The token was launched via pools.trade ahead of the planned FABLES governance token generation event (TGE). It gives early participants a way to engage with the Fables ecosystem before the full token economics go live.

History & Background

Fables was built to push the boundaries of what an automated market maker (AMM) can do. It runs on Uniswap v4, leveraging its 'hooks' system — a powerful feature that lets pools run custom logic around swaps and liquidity changes.

Before releasing its primary FABLES governance token, the team introduced PROLOGUE as a tradeable pre-token. Creator fees generated by PROLOGUE trading were directed toward rewarding Fables liquidity providers, giving the token real utility even during the early phase.

How Prologue Works

PROLOGUE trades in a standard Uniswap v4 pool (PROLOGUE/ETH) without a Fables liquidity ledger attached. Every trade generates a creator fee, which funds weekly rewards for Fables liquidity providers on top of the swap fees they already earn.

At the TGE, eligible PROLOGUE holders can redeem their tokens for FABLES at a fixed ratio. Only tokens held directly in a personal wallet at the snapshot count — tokens sitting in liquidity pools are excluded from redemption.

Tokenomics

PROLOGUE was designed as a bridge asset with a straightforward economic role. Its creator fees flow back into the Fables ecosystem as additive LP incentives, meaning liquidity providers earn more on top of their standard swap fees.

At TGE, a reserved allocation of FABLES is set aside for PROLOGUE redemptions. The conversion formula means the final ratio improves as more PROLOGUE is excluded from eligibility (e.g., locked in pools). Holding PROLOGUE directly in a wallet maximises a holder's redemption position.

Ecosystem & Use Cases

Fables operates pair-specific markets for tokenized stocks, ETFs, and crypto, including pairs like SPY/USDG, GLD/USDG, TSLA/USDG, and ETH/USDG. Fees are dynamic and market-specific — LPs earn higher fees during riskier conditions, such as around US market closures for tokenized stock pairs.

PROLOGUE sits at the entry point of this ecosystem, allowing early traders to gain exposure and earn a pathway to FABLES governance rights.

Team, Governance & Community

Fables operates under the @fablesfi handle on X (Twitter) and has an active Telegram community. Governance via the FABLES token — including staking, voting, and ve(3,3) emissions — is a planned feature that activates at TGE.

The ve(3,3) model lets token holders vote on liquidity emissions across markets, aligning incentives between traders, liquidity providers, and the protocol.
